Secondary Glazing Chesterfield
Occupying a pivotal site in Chesterfield town centre, Elder Way is a landmark mixed-use leisure scheme, which is breathing life into the town’s famous 1930s, Mock-Tudor former Co-op.
Selected by Jomast – one of the UK’s leading property development, investment and regeneration specialists, we carried out the design, supply and installation of both the primary aluminium and secondary glazing elements, which were required to achieve 0.9 u value and provide acoustic insulation to the tune of 45dB + Ctr; a tall order for most. Our systems, however, were able to meet the criteria comfortably whilst also remaining sleek and unobtrusive.
If installed correctly and with the right glass, our secondary glazing can reduce noise by as much as 80% (equivalent to 54dB) when using acoustic laminate glass. The most effective solution for tackling busy traffic pollution or if you live in an area that is vulnerable to multiple sources of excessive noise intrusion
